Catholic Streetwear

Q: What is Catholic streetwear?

Catholic streetwear is clothing that carries Catholic imagery, such as saints, Latin phrases, scripture and sacred symbols like the Lamb of God, designed in a modern streetwear style on heavyweight tees, hoodies and embroidered hats.

Two thousand years of faith, cut for the street. Made in Miami.

What is Catholic streetwear?

Catholic streetwear is clothing that carries the imagery of the faith, the saints, the Latin, the scripture and the old sacred symbols, but is designed like real streetwear instead of a gift shop shirt. Heavyweight blanks, clean embroidery, strong graphics. Something you would wear on a Tuesday, not just on Sunday.

Why we make it

Faith & Based started in Miami in 2022 with one design: Love Your Enemies, Matthew 5:44, printed in red over the heart. The Church has the best art, the best symbols and the best stories in history. The culture borrows them all the time without knowing what they mean. We would rather wear them on purpose.

The symbols behind the designs

The Lamb. The Agnus Dei, the Lamb of God carrying the cross, is the oldest mark in our catalog. “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). It is embroidered on our dad caps.

The flared cross. A cross with arms that widen at the ends, a shape that runs through centuries of Christian art. It is our second mark, on The Standard Tee and the back of our hats.

33 A.D. The year traditionally given for the crucifixion and resurrection. Embroidered on our 33 A.D. caps.

The Griffin. Eagle above, lion below: the medieval picture of Christ, truly God and truly man, made famous by Dante. Read the story.

Psyops for the Lord. Wise as serpents, harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). See the drop.

Catholic or Christian?

Both are welcome here. Every design is built on scripture every Christian shares. The roots are Catholic: the Latin, the saints, the Lamb, the sacred art. If you love Jesus, you will find something to wear.

How it is made
